Join Friends of Wallace Park

Help us maintain and enhance our favorite neighborhood park!

We are the Friends of Wallace Park, a non-profit community-minded organization focused on the gem of our Northwest Portland neighborhood, Wallace Park. Wallace Park is a shared resource, providing a place for recreation, relaxation, sports and other activities.  It enriches the lives of the everybody in neighborhood.  As the Friends of Wallace Park organization, we are committed to help it be a safe, clean and friendly place for current and future generations of NW Portlanders!

Three times each year, Friends of Wallace Park gathers neighbors to help maintain the park by weeding, picking up sticks and pinecones, and tidying flower beds and pathways. These events are also a wonderful opportunity to meet neighbors, strengthen community connections, and support those in need.

This Month’s Community Partner: Rose Haven

At our June gathering, we are partnering with Rose Haven, a local day shelter and community center serving women, children, and gender-diverse individuals experiencing homelessness, trauma, abuse, and other life challenges.

Event Details

When: Saturday, June 20, 10:00 – 11:30 a.m.

Where: Wallace Park Pavilion

What We’ll Do:

• Beautify Wallace Park (raking, weeding, litter pickup)
• Meet and connect with neighbors
• Collect donations for Rose Haven

Donation Requests

Rose Haven is currently seeking:

• New backpacks
• New socks
• New deodorant
• Gently used clothing for women and children

What to Bring

• Gardening gloves
• Hand tools (if you have them)
• Donations for Rose Haven

We’ll provide coffee, baked goods, and additional gardening supplies.

Whether you can stay for the entire event or just stop by for a while, we’d love to see you there. Every helping hand makes a difference.
